SVHC schedules family-friendly Saturday COVID-19 vaccine clinic in Bennington

Pfizer vaccine available for those 12 – 18 and Johnson & Johnson for those 18 and above Vermont Business Magazine Southwestern Vermont Health Care (SVHC) will administer COVID vaccines 8 am – 4 pm on Saturday, May 22 at the gymnasium on the former Southern Vermont College campus at 981 Mansion Drive in Bennington. Members of the general public ages 12 and older are eligible to schedule an appointment using the “make an appointment” link at https://www.healthvermont.gov/covid-19/vaccine/getting-covid-19-vaccine. Registration is open now. “This clinic will make a significant impact in helping get community members vaccinated and contribute to efforts to reopen the state,” said Trey Dobson, MD, Southwestern Vermont Medical Center’s (SVMC) chief medical officer. “Vaccination allows us to gather safely with one another, interact without masks or the need to distance, and once again enjoy each other’s smiles and companionship.”

John Voight joins Eastern Idaho Regional Medical Center John Voight Eastern Idaho Regional Medical Center has added John Voight, MSN, RN, NEA-BC as chief nursing officer (CNO). In this role, he oversees clinical nursing operations throughout the hospital, ensures quality patient care and leads efforts to increase patient satisfaction. He comes to EIRMC with 20 years of health care experience at various hospitals across the nation. Most recently, he served as CNO at Oviedo Medical Center (HCA Healthcare) in Oviedo, Florida. In this role, on top of his nursing leadership responsibilities, he also had a good portion of the responsibilities traditionally held by an operations officer. He also previously served as assistant chief nursing officer, as well as vice president of emergency services with the Ocala Health System (HCA Healthcare), where he oversaw the strategic operations of emergency departments on two campuses and two freestanding ERs.
