Rising COVID cases and shortage of oxygen for patients have moved the American Telugu Association (ATA) that has sent about 100 oxygen concentrators for supply in hospitals and health centres in the two Telugu States. The machines have already reached New Delhi and will be distributed in the State in a couple of days.

ATA Celebrates International Women s Day 2021

Mar 08, 2021, 12:52 IST IWD 2021: The American Telugu Association celebrated International Women s Day 2021 on March 7 with much fanfare. Organized with the theme Choose to Challenge, the event was conducted in a virtual manner. Padma Shri Dr Shobha Raju as the Asthana Sangeetha Vidwan of the Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams (TTD) commenced the program with a beautiful rendition of a song on motherhood. Infosys Chairperson Sudha Murthy was invited as the Chief Guest and in her message gave many suggestions to women. Speaking on the occasion, she said that women could get better opportunities if they change their way of thinking. She commented that India would be much more prosperous if the full potential of women was utilized, and female empowerment and the strength of women was the most powerful and unmatchable.

Bhuvanesh Boojala sworn in as the next President of ATA Published by GulteDesk January 18, 2021 Bhuvanesh Boojala took charge as the new President of American Telugu Association, ATA, a premier umbrella Organization serving the needs of the Telugu people across North America. Mr.Boojala who hails from Washington DC area has been an ardent follower of ATA since 2004 and as a Coordinator was instrumental in the success of Philadelphia Convention in 2014. Mr.Boojala was sworn in as the new President of ATA on Saturday January 16th at the ATA board meeting held at the Omni International hotel in Nashville, TN. President Parmesh Bheemreddy passed on the baton to the new president.
