LONDON .-Flowers Gallery presents Prismatic Minds, an exhibition looking at highly stylized visual languages featuring the repeated figure, curated by Jennifer Gilbert (Director of the Jennifer Lauren Gallery) and actor, writer, and co-presenter of art podcast Talk Art Russell Tovey. Bringing together six mainly self-taught international artists, each with intensely personal and imaginative styles, Prismatic Minds presents a new discourse on the act of repetition and the desire to surround oneself with others, real or imagined. Original, raw and energetic, the works on view introduce a carnival of contemporary characters through repeated motifs that have recurred in the artists work over many years. Djangoponique with Via & The Playboys Thursday, August 5 from 6p-9p. JRob + Bedrock With Hollywood Makeout The GRAM wants to fill your Thursday nights with free outdoor live music, hands-on artmaking, food trucks, and a cash bar. They say, Come for the music, stay for the art. The GRAM is located downtown Grand Rapids. We’re thrilled for free summer concerts to return to the Grand Rapids Art Museum’s terrace this summer. It is part of the Museum’s ongoing commitment to provide free and accessible experiences for our community year-round.
