BY NELLY DER KIUREGHIAN The Hamazkayin San Francisco Nigol Aghpalian chapter held a Teacher Appreciation Day webinar last month, during which two Armenian school principals and a teacher were invited to share their insights about the current opportunities, rewards and challenges facing Armenian educators and Armenian day schools in the Diaspora. The participants were Houry Boyamian, principal of St Stephen’s Armenian Elementary School in Watertown, Massachusetts, Grace Andonian, principal of Krouzian Zekarian Vasbouragan (KZV) School in San Francisco, California; and Hasmig Babian, teacher at ARS Armenian Day School in Toronto. Lenna Manugian, chairperson of the Hamazkayin San Francisco, led the discussion.
