Four-term Congresswoman Stacey E. Plaskett represents the United States Virgin Islands’ at-large Congressional District. Plaskett made history at the 2021 Senate trial of former President Donald Trump by becoming the first non-voting delegate to serve as a House impeachment manager.
A Brooklyn, N.Y. native of immigrant parents from the Virgin Islands, she earned a law degree from American University’s Washington College of Law. Plaskett served as assistant district attorney for the Bronx District Attorney’s Office and senior counsel at the Department of Justice. Later, she moved to the Virgin Islands, where she was elected in 2014 to represent the U.S. territory. Plaskett currently sits on the powerful House Ways and Means Committee, only the fourth African American woman on the House’s chief tax-writing committee. She is currently serving her fourth term in Congress.

Alec Baldwin can pursue a defamation claim against a man he says lied about being punched in the face during their widely-publicized dustup over a Manhattan parking spot.
In November 2018, Wojciech Cieszkowski allegedly stole a space Baldwin s wife had been saving, they got into an argument and Baldwin was arrested after the man told police the actor punched him in the jaw. Baldwin denies hitting him, and took a plea deal that required participating in an anger management program.
15 FORT KNOX, Ky. With clear skies and the sun shining, a commissioned officer from DeWitt, Michigan, stood tall as his infantry branch insignia was removed and replaced with his new Judge Advocate General insignia. A moment that signified the beginning of a new career path made possible through the Army’s Funded Legal Education Program.
Capt. Zach Simons joins the 1st Theater Sustainment Command as its new administrative law attorney, after recently completing the Judge Advocate Officer Basic Course at the Judge Advocate General’s Legal Center and School in Charlottesville, Virginia. For me, the ceremony really was the culmination of the last four years in the Army since I was selected for FLEP, attended law school, studied for the Washington, D.C. bar exam and completed the Judge Advocate Officer Basic Course,” Simons said.
