An elephant who appeared in both âWestworldâ and âWater for Elephantsâ has died.
The death of the animal, named Tai, was confirmed in an email PETA sent Thursday to the Daily News, sharing an obituary âwritten from her perspective looking back on a life of misery.â She was 55.
âW.C. Fields said never to work with animals Trust me â the feelingâs mutual,â read PETAâs obituary for the elephant. âI couldâve enjoyed living out my years with my family in nature, but instead I got a one-way ticket to life of exploitation. . You know us elephants â we never forget.â

According to the ASPCA, about 6.5 million pets enter shelters each year, and about 3.2 million shelter pets are adopted each year.Â
