But their advent in turn prompts further scrutiny and concern over possible side effects. Public health officials warn you may feel COVID-like symptoms after your injection and that’s normal. “I think the first thing we need to tell people is that this is not COVID. Don t worry about that. You can t get COVID from the vaccine,” Dr. William Schaffner, professor of preventive medicine and infectious diseases at Vanderbilt University Medical Center, told ABC News. “These side effects are really a manifestation of your immune system starting to come to grips. It shows - Whoa, my system is working not bad. ”
