U S Senate Joins House in Sponsoring Legislation Expanding Medicare Patients Access to Pharmacist Services

Similar legislation, H.R. 2759, was introduced in the U.S. House last week by Rep. G.K. Butterfield (D-NC) and Rep. David McKinley (R-WV). Pharmacists have advanced education and training to deliver these patient care services, but unlike many states in the nation, Medicare does not recognize and reimburse them for such services.
