GODFREY Plans are progressing for a Dollar Tree store in Godfrey.
During the village board meeting Tuesday night, trustees voted to provide $75,000 in financial assistance to cover sewer costs and other incentives for the construction of a Dollar Tree store at 6519 Godfrey Road across from Walmart.
The 10,000-square-foot store will be built by American Realty & Development of Belle, Missouri.
Jim Mager, Godfrey Director of Economic Development, said he was approached by the company a little over a year ago with the idea to build the store. As of now, there is not a set date for when the company will break ground.
