As air travel shows more signs of rebounding from its pandemic lows, airlines that focus on offering cheap fares to leisure travelers are cashing in on the stock market.

Alberta reported an “estimated” 1,100 cases new cases of COVID-19 Saturday, the same number as the previous day. These cases came from about 12,100 tests, leading to a positivity rate of 9.1 per cent, the highest logged in Alberta since Jan. 3.
A record 550 cases of variants were logged, but a breakdown of the cases by variant strain was not provided.
