The Golden State Warriors currently find themselves in a precarious position. Before the start of the season, Steph Curry & Co. were seen as a lock for the playoffs. But as the season has progressed, the prospect of the Dubs making it to the playoffs has become more and more unlikely.
With a record of 23 wins and 27 losses, the Dubs have now slipped all the way down to the 10th seed in the conference and are barely in the play-in tournament as of now. But why are the Dubs struggling so badly this season?

No, the Dallas Mavericks didn’t forget. And Monday night it was payback time.
Following two blowout losses on the road to the Utah Jazz back in January, the Mavs took matters into their own hands and displayed a lot of toughness in defeating the Jazz, 111-103, at American Airlines Center. In one of their most complete games of the season, the Mavs snapped Utah’s nine-game winning streak and also won five games in a row for the first time this season.
The Mavs are now 28-21 heading into Wednesday’s game in Houston. And on Monday, they played without Kristaps Porzingis, who is day-to-day with a sprained right wrist.

THE STORY: The Mavericks will play a scorching hot Utah Jazz that is first in both offensive and defensive rating over the last two weeks (eight games). Donovan Mitchell, who did not play in either of the Jazz’s two blowout victories over the Mavericks earlier this year, will be in action. In those games, the COVID stretch had just ended, and the returning players (Finney-Smith, Richardson, Powell, etc.) looked like they needed significant conditioning before they’d be playing at 100%.

Luka Doncic scored 31 points as the Dallas Mavericks shrugged off the injury absence of Kristaps Porzingis to snap Utah’s nine-game winning streak on Monday.
Slovenian star Doncic spearheaded a superb offensive performance for the Mavs in a dominant 111-103 victory over the Western Conference leaders, who had been chasing a 10th straight win.
Doncic’s tally included six three-pointers, while the 22-year-old prodigy also hauled down nine rebounds with eight assists.
