We recently examined 15 laws in Massachusetts that were quite strange. You couldn t help but wonder who came up with these laws and what they were on at the time. There actually were maybe 1 or 2 laws from that list which made sense. For the others, I wondered to myself, what circumstances occurred to the point where actions were needed to be taken to create a law?
We did some more digging and found 12 more strange Massachusetts laws. Thanks to Boston.com, and Only in Your State we can scratch our heads again while being entertained. As with the previous list we put together, most of these laws are still on the books but I would say it s a pretty safe bet that you won t get carted off to prison if you break them. Don t quote me on that though.

A suspected rapist added to the Massachusetts State Police Most Wanted list last month was captured in the early morning hours Wednesday in Kissimmee, Fla., all because a motel desk clerk recognized one of his guests from the wanted poster released by the MSP’s Violent Fugitive Apprehension Section.
Osceola County, Fla., Sheriff’s Deputies responded to the Travelodge Motel in Kissimmee after the motel notified them that a guest at the property, Jeffery Cancel-Muniz. Cancel-Muniz is a Level 3 Sex Offender who is wanted by Deerfield, MA Police for aggravated rape causing serious bodily injury, rape, kidnapping, and strangulation. The charges relate to a sexual assault that occurred in May 2020.
