Major project begins at Y-12 to shrink high-security footprint
Oak Ridge, Tenn. National Nuclear Security Administration (NNSA) and Consolidated Nuclear Security, LLC, officials broke ground on the West End Protected Area Reduction project (WEPAR) at Y-12 National Security Complex, which, when completed, will reduce the size of the high-security protected area on the site by approximately 50%. The project supports efforts to modernize Y-12’s high-security boundary and includes the installation of new sections on the perimeter intrusion, detection, and assessment system (PIDAS) as well as a new entry control facility.

MARYVILLE, Tenn. (April 5, 2021) – A new Chick-fil-A restaurant is slated to open for business in Maryville on Wednesday, April 7. Chick-fil-A Ò, Inc. has selected Frankie Turner as the independent franchised Owner/Operator of Chick-fil-A West Broadway Avenue. Turner will be responsible for all day-to-day activities of the business, including employing approximately 100 full- and part-time Team Members, cultivating relationships with local organizations and neighboring businesses, and serving guests.
