In his time at the White House, Miller said he witnessed how legal action can impede an administration, a tactic he called “extraordinarily effective.” Miller recounted that the administration “wouldn’t get just one lawsuit in one court, we’d get six lawsuits in six courts,” adding that there was no “counterpoint to that” on the Right.
The executive director of the ACLU, Anthony Romero, was dismissive of the project, saying Miller would have a “tough road to travel.”
The group filed 413
lawsuits against the former president in his four years in office, litigating key policy initiatives from the White House, including adding a citizenship question to the 2020 census and Trump’s immigration policy.
After seeing the success of liberal groups like the American Civil Liberties Union in halting the Trump administration’s policies in the courts, Mr. Miller, who helped to lead the prior administration’s immigration policies, wants his group on the right to do the same.
The ACLU sued the Trump administration 400 times in four years, challenging many of the former president’s policies related to immigration and abortion.
Mr. Miller’s organization will team up with Republican state attorneys general, who have already launched several legal battles against the new administration.
About a dozen multi-state lawsuits have been filed against the new president’s policies, particularly focusing on his cancelation of the Keystone XL Pipeline, executive order on climate change, and immigration policies. They have also challenged the state tax cut hurdles tucked into the latest $1.9 trillion coronavirus relief plan.

This is long overdue, and worthy of support. Most CTH readers are now aware what the Lawfare group is all about. The Lawfare network is made up of Obama ideologues and former DOJ officials who manipulate the legal system for their political agenda.
Many, if not most, of the legal aspects connected to attacks against conservatives stem from inside this Lawfare network. They operate inside government and outside in the private sector and compliment each other in their unified agenda. An example was the attack against Supreme Court nominee Brett Kavanaugh by both groups.
