With the country’s borders closed now for almost one year, Trinidadians are looking to their sister isle Tobago for a quick vacation over the upcoming Easter holidays. And by the figures reaching the Health, Wellness and Family Development division- it’s going to be a packed weekend. That’s why they are urging citizens to be cautious.
“We’re constantly in collaboration with our stakeholders and they have indicated we have an expected occupancy for the upcoming Easter period of 98 per cent of our villas, 76 per cent for apartments and 67 per cent for the hotels,”
Tobago County Medical Officer of Health Dr Tiffany Hoyte said during a press conference on Wednesday.”We definitely welcome everyone but we also would like to take this opportunity to remind everyone COVID-19 still remains an active threat to the health and the wellbeing of citizens of Trinidad and Tobago.
