Govt notifies increase in power tariff by up to 18 paisas per unit Consumers of up to 300 units will pay 15 paisas per unit extra while those using over 300 units 18 paisas ISLAMABAD: The federal government has notified an increase of up to 18 paisas per unit in the electricity tariff for all consumers except those of Karachi effective from December 1, 2020. According to the notification issued by the Ministry of Energy on Monday, the tariff has been increased from Rs13.35 per unit to Rs13.53 per unit. “Fifteen paisas per unit increase is applicable on consumers using up to 300 units of electricity” while those using more than 300 units will have to pay 18 paisas per unit more, the notification stated.
