MyCC Is Keeping A Close Eye On Food Delivery Platforms The regulator is watching the conduct of the firms across various aspects including commission fees. The Malaysia Competition Commission (MyCC) says it is closely monitoring and assessing food delivery platforms following complaints by local food operators over excessive commission fees. Not only that, the commission is also taking the public’s feedback regarding the services provided by these companies as well as their pricing into consideration. For starters, MyCC said that the commission and the Ministry of Domestic Trade and Consumer Affairs (KPDNHEP) have since met up with relevant stakeholders including the F&B and retail industry players to understand the issues raised by them.

MyCC reportedly closely monitoring food delivery platforms Details 26 July 2021 The Malaysia Competition Commission (MyCC) is closely looking at food delivery platform companies as the public has raised concerns over the imposing of “exorbitant commission fees” and the price of food items. According to reports on The Edge, MyCC is assessing the situation as to whether the conduct of certain food delivery platform companies “is in contravention of the Competition Act 2010 or not . The MyCC said that along with the Ministry of Domestic Trade and Consumer Affairs, it has met with relevant parties to understand the issues.
