The Ministry of Digital Transformation of Ukraine and the State Tax Service have published the financial statements of companies in the form of open data, it is available on the unified public open data portal. For a long time, business in Ukraine did not have legal access to financial reporting, so the analysis of business partners was carried out on the basis of unverified information, and the shadow data market only grew. As a result, entrepreneurs could not make informed decisions about cooperation with partners, and foreign companies could not assess the real situation on the Ukrainian market. Last year, in just a few months, the COVID-19 crisis brought about years of change in the way governments, organizations and companies in all sectors and regions do business. Numerous lockdown restrictions triggered the shift of demand towards online public services, making them the new normal. According to a McKinsey Global Survey, many companies catapulted the digital transformation of their external and internal operations by three to four years in 2020. During the same period, the share of digital or digitally-enabled products in their portfolios accelerated by an amazing seven years. In Ukraine, UNDP also managed to shift most of its operations to online programming and management in just six days when the pandemic hit.
