Sutherland worried about youth unemployment

Joblessness has risen alarmingly high among the nation’s 60,000 young people, Minister of Youth Dwight Sutherland has acknowledged, as unemployment rises steadily during the COVID-19 pandemic.
The minister admitted, that the high levels of youth unemployment were indeed a cause of concern for Government as he gave brief remarks on Friday before handing keys to newly built kiosks at Parkinson Field, The Pine, to five ‘blockpreneurs’ who were part of the Government’s Building Blocks project.
He said: “The youth unemployment is very high – we have approximately I am being told 60,000 young people in this country, 4,000 of those young persons leave school on average annually. We have to find work for them.
