Export orders in April totaled US$54.93 billion, up 42.6 percent from a year earlier, the highest ever for the month, according to data compiled by the ministry. The growth in export orders in the month can be attributed to increased shipments of tech gadgets driven by the booming work-from-home economy amid the COVID-19 pandemic and the gradual recovery of the global economy, it said.
