The Ministry of Economic Affairs (MOEA) yesterday said that chips from Taiwanese semiconductor companies were not making their way into Chinese missiles “to the best of our knowledge.”
A report in yesterday’s Washington Post alleged that a Chinese company named Phytium Technology Co (飛騰) used chips made by Taiwan Semiconductor Manufacturing Co (TSMC, 台積電), along with US software, in advanced Chinese military systems.

According to Statistics Finland’s
employment statistics, there were 178,500 persons in the other
inactive population in 2019. The other inactive population includes
persons aged 16 or over who do not belong to the labour force, nor
are they students, pensioners or persons performing military or
non-military service. Among the other inactive population, there
were 13,500 young people aged 18 to 24 without post-comprehensive
school qualifications. The group of the other inactive population
also includes parents of small children, people with disabilities
or chronically ill, as well as persons living with income support
