President instructs to implement Ukrainian helicopters building program - Dpty Prime Minister 2 min read
The fulfillment of the order of President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky on implementation of the Program for the construction of domestic helicopters was discussed on Thursday, February 25 in Kharkiv by Deputy Prime Minister for Strategic Industries Oleh Urusky with the management of the state concern Ukroboronprom and aircraft companies. Ukrainian aircraft builders are confidently moving in the direction of creating a helicopter industry. JSC Motor Sich, according to the management, has mastered the production of all helicopter systems in Ukraine, Urusky wrote following the meeting.
He also said that the implementation of the State Defense Order for the production of three An-178 military transport aircraft for the Armed Forces of Ukraine and the resumption of work of the Kharkiv State Aircraft Manufacturing Company was also discussed.

Deputy Prime Minister and Minister for Strategic Industries of Ukraine Oleh Uruskyi and Chargé d Affaires of the United States in Ukraine a.i. Kristina Kvien discussed the issues of military-technical and industrial cooperation between Ukraine and the United States during an online conversation.
As the Ministry of Strategic Industries of Ukraine informs, Oleh Uruskyi outlined his vision of possible areas of bilateral partnership, which, in his opinion, may be of mutual interest and will contribute to the deepening of the strategic ties between the countries.
The Deputy Prime Minister also outlined the key priorities for further activities of the Ministry of Strategic Industries for 2021, including the establishment of the Defense Technology Agency following an example of U.S. Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency, DARPA.

On Friday, 11 December, at the news agency Ukrinform in Kyiv, the results of the Government Defence Integrity Index 2020 (GDI) were presented. Transparency International Defence and Security Programme released Central and Eastern Europe Data to the public. Ukraine received 41 points from 100 and band D which indicates a high risk of defence corruption. The Government Defence Integrity Index is the only Index of assessing corruption risks in defence establishments.
Dr. Karolina MacLachlan, Regional Programme Manager for Europe of Transparency International Defence & Security said that the Index includes 86 countries, and the current wave includes assessment of 15 countries from Central and Eastern Europe.
