The Ministry of Foreign Affairs on Wednesday ensured that the 977,292 Peruvian nationals authorized to vote abroad will rely on 214 polling places available during the general elections this Sunday, April 11.   Through the embassies and consular offices, it will be guaranteed that the 214 voting places necessary for the 3,371 voting tables consigned to 204 foreign cities in 78 countries (from 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.) unless by provisions of the local authority another schedule has to be crafted. Consular offices coordinate with national, federal, local, and municipal authorities, as well as health officials, to ensure completion of Election Day and compliance with the biosafety protocols required within the framework of the COVID-19 pandemic, which will make it possible to guarantee the essential conditions for compatriots abroad to exercise their right to vote safely.
