BEIJING, May 28 (Xinhua) Diplomats from more than 140 embassies and international organizations stationed in China took part in an event in Beijing on Thursday to espy the city s development prospects.
Organized jointly by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of China and the People s Government of Beijing Municipality, the event also witnessed the diplomats participating in a tree-planting activity in the city s Jinzhan Forest Park located in Chaoyang district.
The foreign diplomats lauded China s development and hailed the new vitality achieved by Beijing. They put up name plaques of their countries or institutions on the planted saplings.

BEIJING, May.24 (China Economic Net) - On the occasion of the 70th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic ties between China and Pakistan, Former Chinese Ambassador to Pakistan Zhou Gang said that friendly cooperation has been the mainstream of the past 70 years, which is of great significance to the two countries.
Zhou Gang joined the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of China in 1962 and successively served as Chinese Ambassador to Malaysia, Pakistan, Indonesia, and India from 1988 to 2001. While recalling his working experience in Pakistan from 1991 to 1995, Zhou was particularly excited, saying that he will never forget the profound friendship between China and Pakistan.
