Efforts on to regularise Bangladeshis in Bahrain

Bangladesh has requested Bahrain to regularise the irregular Bangladeshis or renew their visas which have expired amid Covid-19.
Besides, the government is trying to send Bangladeshis, who have been stranded in Bangladesh since their return to the country on vacation before the coronavirus outbreak, back to Bahrain, said a press release issued by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MoFA) on Sunday.
Bangladesh Mission in Bahrain is communicating with the Bahrain government constantly, it added.
The Bahrain government has regularised visas of 30,000 Bangladeshis amid the Covid-19 pandemic under the nine-month general amnesty from April to December last year with 25,000 more irregular Bangladeshis there.

infrastructure development amidst its fast urbanisation, during their meeting in
