NATIONAL SECURITY Minister Fitzgerald Hinds
NATIONAL Security Minister Fitzgerald Hinds on Wednesday dismissed what he said were rumours on social media that he is covid19-positive.
In a post on his Facebook page, Hinds declared, Thanking my God for great health, I have just been told that the muscular and well-oiled rumour-mill of our land has it on social media, that I am covid-positive.
But, he said, Let me declare loudly that I am fit and well. I have neither flu nor flu-like symptoms. I am as strong as the Lion of Judah.
Hinds said he received his first dose of the AstraZeneca vaccine last Saturday (April 24) and has experienced no side effects.

NATIONAL Security Minister Fitzgerald Hinds will be replaced as chairman of the Parliament s National Security Joint Select Committee. The change has become necessary as a result of Hinds assuming his new ministerial portfolio on Monday.
Hinds was assigned to this portfolio by the Prime Minister, after his immediate predecessor Minister in the Office of the Prime Minister (OPM) Stuart Young was appointed Energy Minister, after the death of Franklin Khan last Saturday. Young will continue his duties in the OPM.
Stuart Young is the new Minister of Energy.
He will replace Franklin Khan, who died suddenly on Saturday morning.
A release from the Office of the Prime Minister (OPM) said Dr Rowley had advised the President that, with immediate effect, Young would be moved from the National Security Ministry.
He will retain his portfolio as a minister in the OPM.
“I thank the Prime Minister, Dr the Honourable Keith Rowley, for his confidence in me in his reassignment of me to the portfolio of Minister of Energy and Energy Industries, in addition to my duties as Minister in the Office of the Prime Minister,” Young said in a Facebook post.
