On behalf of the Government of Canada and all Canadians, I would like to commend nurses from coast to coast to coast for their vital work, and extend my best wishes for National Nursing Week, 2021.
Nurses are at the center of our Canadian health care systems. They are the smiling faces who greet us at hospitals and clinics. They are the calming voices helping us through our toughest days, and they are the ones who are helping to care for our parents, family members, and loved ones during this COVID-19 pandemic. This week, we celebrate their hard work and success, and we thank them for their many sacrifices and dedication to our communities and our country.
