The Morrison government is going after hundreds of Australians it claims are not willing to work as part of a crackdown to get unemployed off welfare payments.
Just weeks after the government launch of an employer reporting line, dubbed the “DobSeeker”, more than 300 individuals across the country have been referred by businesses who insist applicants are not meeting their responsibility to get into work seriously.
More than 110 bosses have latched onto a new hotline to dob in unemployed people who submit inappropriate job applications or fail to attend interviews.
New figures have revealed Queenslanders are among the worst job snobs in the country, with one-in-four job seekers reported employers for missing interviews.
