First meeting of the Joint Italian-Libyan Economic Commission (CECIL)

The Joint Italian-Libyan Economic Technical Committee (CECIL) met for the first time by video conference on 17 December 2020. On the Libyan side it was headed by Dr Mahmoud Khalifa El-Tellisi, Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs for Technical Matters, and on the Italian side by the Hon. Manlio Di Stefano, Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation. The Parties set up this Commission as a further means of supporting the historical ties that bind Libya and Italy, in their common desire to go into further depth on and strengthen bilateral ties between these two Countries and friendly peoples.

As U.S. government agencies and thousands of companies around the world assess whether they’ve been compromised in the SolarWinds breach, cybersecurity experts are concerned that the full reach of the suspected hackers may only be just coming to light.
People familiar with the matter have told outlets including The Washington Post that the culprit is one of the most persistent and savvy hacking groups on the planet: the Russian government-backed APT29, also known as Cozy Bear. Cyber threat intelligence firms have been more cautious in assigning blame, even as they acknowledge significant similarities.

KUWAIT CITY, Dec 15: The first flight from the Philippines carrying domestic workers arrived in the country on Tuesday. Kuwait Airport has banned 34 countries from flying directly due to the coronavirus pandemic.
28 maids arrived by Kuwait Airways flight from Manila, they were subjected to institutional quarantine procedures, following the completion of the airport procedures, reports Al Rai. The domestic workers arrived at T4 terminal, those with valid residence permit were allowed to enter but initially before boarding they had to do a PCR test and their sponsors had to register on Balslama app.
It is reported that 80,000 domestic workers are supposed to arrive in the country. The Directorate General of Civil Aviation in coordination with the health authorities and the Ministries of Foreign Affairs and Interior, have developed a plan to facilitate the entry of domestic workers, so that the number does not exceed 600 passengers per day, and the first trips were allowed

Romania, Pakistan have uninterrupted ties for 56 years

Islamabad:Ambassador of Romania to Pakistan Nicolae Goia has said Romania and Pakistan established diplomatic relations in 1964, we have had uninterrupted diplomatic ties for 56 years, during which Romania has contributed to the development of Pakistani economy by building cement factories in Labelled and Kohat, refineries in Karachi, tractor assembly factory near Islamabad and many other projects in various fields.
The Romanian ambassador expressed these views in an exclusive interview with DNA.He further said, ‘we have tradition, we have many success stories, and we have all the necessary ingredients to reset our economic cooperation to a much higher level that it is right now’.
