PeaceHealth lifts ‘no visitor’ policy

PeaceHealth Southwest Medical Center has lifted its “no visitor” policy and is now allowing one visitor per day, per patient, with some limited exceptions.
The policy change comes as COVID-19 case counts in Clark County continue to drop significantly.
For patients confirmed with COVID-19, the no-visitors policy will remain in place with limited exceptions.
Exceptions to the policy will be made at the discretion of PeaceHealth Southwest Medical Center’s clinical care leadership.
The hospital will continue to screen visitors for fever and COVID-19 symptoms. Visitors must wear a mask during their entire visit.

VANCOUVER, Wash. Hospital officials at PeaceHealth Southwest Medical Center in Vancouver said they expect to receive their first doses of the COVID-19 vaccination within days.
“I think we are very cautiously optimistic about vaccines,” said Dr. Lawrence Neville, Chief Medical Officer for PeaceHealth Columbia Network.
Neville said if the FDA approves the Pfizer vaccine this week, PeaceHealth should get its first doses next week. He said the Moderna vaccine could arrive a week after that.
