PeaceHealth to livestream Clark County’s first COVID-19 vaccinations Wednesday

PeaceHealth Southwest Medical Center will administer the first COVID-19 vaccinations in Clark County Wednesday.
The vaccine will be given to PeaceHealth Southwest staff who are working with patients who have tested positive for COVID-19. In a news release Tuesday afternoon, PeaceHealth Southwest said it has received 4,000 doses of the Pfizer COVID-19 vaccine.

It only took Schaeffer Seabrook seconds to get a COVID-19 vaccination, but she’ll forever be the first person in Clark County inoculated for the virus.
Seabrook, a registered nurse at PeaceHealth Southwest Medical Center, grasped the gravity of her vaccination, which arrived minutes after 9 a.m. Wednesday morning in the health education center on the Southwest campus.
Coronavirus vaccinations set to begin in Oregon, SW Washington Wesleigh Ogle
PeaceHealth Southwest Medical Center in Vancouver will start vaccinating frontline healthcare workers at 9 a.m.
Meanwhile, Legacy Emanuel Medical Center will begin vaccinating at 11 a.m. and then Oregon Health and Science University will follow with its first vaccinations in SW Portland.
Oregon Governor Kate Brown will also hold a news conference right as some of the first vaccinations are administered. She ll be joined by representatives from the Oregon Health Authority, OHSU, Legacy Health and Saint Alphonsus in Ontario.
Oregon is one of the last states in the country to vaccinate people.
