Last week, the five broadcast networks had Upfront Week stolen right out from under them when HBO Max unveiled the full trailer for “Friends: The Reunion.” And for good reason,
HUNTINGTON â A rebooted Arts Night Out is planned for 6 to 9 p.m. Wednesday at Heritage Station, 210 11th St. in Huntington, to celebrate the local arts scene. We re so excited to restart Arts Night Out, co-organizer Raine Klover said in a news release. We are offering a mix of indoor and outdoor activities to ensure we have enough space for social distancing and we have something for everyone. Downtown Huntington is coming alive again, and we re glad to be a part of that rebirth.
Huntington Fiction Factory will host Huntington s inaugural Literary Laureate Daniel J. O Malley, who will discuss narrative writing. The Red Caboose will host a pop-up by Barboursville artist Sassa Wilkes, who will offer prints from her Badass Women series and her new line of LGBTQIA pride shirts.
CLASS: Hospice of Huntingtonâs virtual six-week class on âThe Nature of Grief: Healing and Honoring the Seasons of Lifeâ continues at 1 p.m. Tuesdays, May 25, June 1, 8 and 15. To register, contact 304-529-4217. Virtual event participants receive call-in numbers and log-in links upon registration.
DEGREED: Three local residents graduated during the spring ceremony at West Liberty University. Anthony Lee Martin Jr. of Huntington graduated with a masterâs degree, while Samuel Patrick Aulick, also of Huntington, and Carly L. Cunningham of Hurricane, West Virginia, received undergraduate degrees.
CONCERT: Aaron Lewis and Stateliners presents a concert at 8 p.m. Wednesday, June 2, at Charleston Municipal Auditorium. Tickets are $25-$55.
