Court adjourns hearing in Salt hospital oxygen outage case until Sunday By Rana Husseini - May 06,2021 - Last updated at May 06,2021 AMMAN The Amman Court of First Instance on Thursday heard the testimony of one prosecution witness in the case of the oxygen outage at the New Salt Public Hospital that claimed the lives of seven patients in March. The defendants, including the hospital director and other employees, are standing trial in the case on seven counts of causing death by association and for violating articles 343 and 76 of the Penal Code. The court also decided to include the previous testimony of Wael Hayajneh, secretary general of the Health Ministry for epidemiological affairs and the former official in charge of the COVID-19 crisis, in the court’s records because he was out of town, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported.
