Breaking the news on Wednesday morning, Buckingham Palace shared the announcement by saying:
“Her Royal Highness Princess Beatrice and Mr Edoardo Mapelli Mozzi are very pleased to announce that they are expecting a baby in autumn of this year.
“The Queen has been informed and both families are delighted with the news.”

“Her Royal Highness Princess Beatrice and Mr Edoardo Mapelli Mozzi are very pleased to announce that they are expecting a baby in autumn of this year,” a statement from the Palace read (via People). “The Queen has been informed and both families are delighted with the news.”
The couple were married this past July in a tiny wedding due to the pandemic.

The couple married
in July last year at a secret ceremony attended by the Queen at All Saints Chapel, Windsor Great Park.
Plans for a public event like her sister Princess Eugenie s wedding were scuppered by the coronavirus pandemic.

The child will be the Queen s 12th great-grandchild, as Prince Harry s second baby is due in the summer.
