Doctors and midwives fear next week s relaxation of Covid restrictions will lead to an increase in infections among pregnant women.
The warning comes from the Royal College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists (RCOG) and the Royal College of Midwives (RCM).
Pregnant women can be at greater risk of getting severely ill with Covid.
So the experts are urging women to get the Covid vaccine to protect yourself, your baby and your family .
Evidence shows having the Covid jab is safe during pregnancy.
The risk of being very ill with Covid is increaed in the late stage of pregnancy, in part due to the pressure exerted on the lungs by the growing foetus.
