A woman attacked paramedics and punched one of them in the face after they were called out to treat her for a suspected cardiac arrest. Tammy Thomas, 36, became aggressive and lashed out at emergency workers Andrew Gregory and Christian Pritchard at her home in the Rhondda on June 2 last year. They were called out after it was believed Thomas had taken tablets and was suffering a suspected cardiac arrest but she was found to be extremely intoxicated.

A town centre stood still as hundreds of people lined the streets to say goodbye to the owner of a popular restaurant.
Staff, customers and the local community came together on Thursday to remember Joseph Gambarini who worked front of house at Prince s Restaurant in Pontypridd for decades.
The shop window that was usually full of cakes and baked goods was transformed into a memorial with customers and friends stopping throughout the day to look at the pictures, cards, flowers and tributes on display.

Across South Wales more than 1,250 blood donations and products are needed each month to provide care to patients at the Grange University Hospital, the Royal Gwent Hospital and Abergavenny s Nevill Hall Hospital, as well as the Prince Charles Hospital, the Royal Glamorgan Hospital and the University Hospital of Wales. Donations are needed daily for a range of patients including mothers and babies during childbirth, cancer patients receiving chemotherapy, and patients involved in emergencies. One donation can save or improve the lives of up to three adults or six babies.
