Crime scenes established in Darwin suburb of Karama, as police investigate fatal stabbing © Provided by ABC NEWS A crime scene has been established on Wearing Crescent.  (ABC News: Michael Donnelly) A 20-year-old man has died and a woman has been taken to Royal Darwin Hospital in a serious condition following stabbing incidents in a northern Darwin suburb.  Northern Territory Police have established two crime scenes in Karama, and roadblocks are currently in place as they continue their investigation into the incidents.  St John Ambulance paramedics were called to the scene just before midnight, following a report from security guards who alerted authorities to an incident on Kalymnos Drive near the Karama Shopping Plaza.

Driver swerves to avoid a kangaroo and lands in crocodile-infested water in the Northern Territory

A man has landed himself in crocodile-infested waters after he swerved off the road to avoid hitting a kangaroo on Wednesday afternoon.  He was driving along the Arnhem Highway in the Northern Territory when the kangaroo leapt in front of his car, and soon found himself struck in the creek. The waterway was about 2km from an area known as Jumping Crocs, with saltwater predators known to lurk nearby.  Once the car was in the water the man was forced to climb onto his roof to stay out of the crocodile-infested water.  The man was forced onto his roof to stay above the crocodile-infested water in the Northern Territory
