Dec 16, 2020 3:53 PM A dump truck carrying scrap metal overturned outside the entrance to Robin Hood Bay in St. John’s. Debris can be seen scatted over the road in the area. Police say the driver took the turn too fast, and the weight in the back shifted causing the vehicle to tip over. The man, who was on his way to the dump when the truck overturned, did not sustain any serious injuries. ⚠️ADVISORY⚠️ Access to @CityofStJohns Robin Hood Bay Landfill and Recycling will see delays while officers work to resolve an accident involving a large truck. RNC Dog Retires After Seven Years of Service

Dec 11, 2020 6:29 AM A seven-year member of the Royal Newfoundland Constabulary officially hung up his badge yesterday. Police Service Dog Edge retired from duty yesterday. Edge will now live out his retirement years with St. John’s businessman Jim Hynes who recently donated Stella, a Portuguese water dog, who will be part of the RNC’s Support Dog program. Throwback to when Edge first joined the RNC with his handler, Cst Kevin Morgan. Edge was officially retired from the RNC today after about seven years of service. Thank-you for your service, Edge!
