The housing market’s summer mini-boom was losing steam in November, estate agents have said, but house prices will continue to tick upwards over the coming months.
There were high levels of activity last month which drove property values higher, but momentum has stalled, according to a survey from the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors, a trade body.
Respondents reported that buyer inquiries, agreed sales and new listings rose in November but the pace of growth was on a downward trajectory. The number of agents reporting a rise in buyer inquiries in November declined for the fourth consecutive month since the July peak.
