New South Wales has recorded 31 new local cases of COVID-19, 13 of which were infectious while out in the community.
Twenty-seven of the new cases uncovered in the 24 hours to 8pm Thursday are linked to previous infections, and 17 are household contacts.
Four of the new cases remain under investigation.
Only 11 of the 31 new cases were in isolation during their infectious period.

NSW Premier Gladys Berejiklian said she was relieved the case numbers were not higher, but stressed the next few days would be critical .
“This pretty much reflects the days just before, and the day when we went into lockdown,” she said.

A fully vaccinated mother-of-two currently stranded in Chicago, Illinois, has been told she must pay $17,000 to secure flights to Sydney to see her coma-induced mum.

Rebecca Vickers is desperately trying to get a flight back to Sydney with her family to see her mum who suffered a severe stroke on Thursday.
Her 72-year-old mother Beverley is being treated for bleeding on the brain at Royal North Shore Hospital.
“She’s alone, no one allowed with her to hold her hand, she’s in a coma right now and it’s all touch and go, she’s just hanging on for her dear life”, Ms Vickers told Sky News Melbourne reporter Julia Bradley.
