A boy has suffered serious injuries after being bitten by a dog in a Stoke-on-Trent neighbourhood.
Police and paramedics were called out to the Buccleuch Road area of Normacot just after 6pm on Sunday evening.

Detectives have described the case as truly tragic .
Following the sentencing hearing, Detective Inspector Alan Lyford said: “The court heard that the force used to restrain him was excessive and went on for a long time, leading to his death.
A HANG glider who crash landed in Llansilin on Friday was treated for multiple injuries, ambulance staff have confirmed. West Midlands Ambulance Service (WMAS) was called to Maes Y Llan at 3.30pm after reports that the hang glider crashed in a nearby field. Yesterday the local community was praised for its reaction to the crash.
READ MORE: The Midlands Air Ambulance from Cosford attended the incident and treated one patient who suffered multiple serious injuries. A spokesman for WMAS said: “We were called to reports of a hang glider that had crash landed near to Maesyllan in Llansilin at 3.30pm on Friday.

A 16-year-old boy had his neck slashed during an attack in a city park.
The victim was taken to hospital after he was assaulted in Bathpool Park in Kidsgrove.
Police said they believed the weapon used was a broken bottle. The victim s injuries were not serious and he was released from the Royal Stoke University Hospital after his wound was stitched.
