Collector C. Kathiravan said that so far, a total of 22,817 persons tested positive while 19,231 were discharged. Currently, 3,149 persons were under treatment while the death toll in the district stood at 167, he added.

Kathiravan here. As on Sunday, a total of 3,323 patients were under treatment while the total number of cases reported in the district stood at 22,165. He said that a total of 834 beds are available at the Government Erode Medical College and Hospital at Perundurai and government hospitals across the district in which 393 are under treatment. Also, 2,107 patients are in home isolation, he added. Apart from this 2,550 beds are kept ready at the Covid Care Centres while 666 beds are available at the private hospitals, he added.

Strength of beds increased in govt hospitals: Collector

Updated: Share Article AAA With spike in COVID-19 cases, strength of beds in the government hospitals have been increased from the present 684 to 834 beds in the district, said Collector C. Kathiravan while chairing a meeting on COVID-19 control measures with officials and representatives from private hospitals at Collectorate here on Monday. Mr. Kathiravan said that 550 beds are available at the Government Erode Medical College and Hospital at Perundurai, 208 beds at the District Headquarters Hospital, 20 beds each at government hospitals at Gobichettipalayam and Sathyamangalam, 18 beds at Bhavani GH, 10 at Anthiyur and eight beds at Perundurai GH. Apart from this, 2,700 beds are ready at the COVID-19 Care Centres and Primary Health Centres in the district while 814 beds are available at private hospitals. He said that 1,367 persons were in home isolation while 4,90,862 had undergone RT-PCR tests while 1,18,282 were vaccinated so far.

Kathiravan has said. As on Friday, a total of 1,689 patients were under treatment while the total number of cases reported in the district stood at 17,874. He said that a total of 684 beds are available at the Government Erode Medical College and Hospital at Perundurai and government hospitals across the district in which 298 are under treatment. Also, 934 patients are in home isolation, he added.

Corpn health centre closed after two pregnant women test positive

Updated: Share Article AAA The Urban Primary Health Centre on Gandhiji Road in Erode also served as a vaccination centre.   The Urban Primary Health Centre (UPHC) functioning on Gandhiji Road in the Corporation limits was closed after two pregnant women, who were admitted for delivery, tested positive for COVID-19 on Thursday. They were aged 24 and 26 and were admitted three days ago. Swab samples were lifted from them on Wednesday and after they tested positive, both were shifted to the Government Erode Medical College and Hospital at Perundurai. Swab samples were lifted from 10 staff, including doctors and nurses, and were sent for tests.
