New Delhi, May 2 : The Delhi and District Cricket Association (DDCA) will donate 100 units of oxygen concentrators and another 100 units of BPAP-B non-invasive ventilators to the Government of National Capital Territory (NCT) of Delhi for distribution to healthcare facilities in New Delhi.
The DDCA said in a statement on Sunday that, In tandem with its tradition of fulfilling social responsibility, the DDCA has decided to extend a helping hand towards the fight against Covid-19.

Amendment said “government” in the national capital territory of Delhi means the Lieutenant Governor of Delhi
The Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA) said in a press statement on Thursday that the Government of National Capital Territory (GNCTD) Amendment Act, 2021 “in no way alters the constitutional and legal responsibilities of the elected Government” to take necessary action in areas of health and education.
MHA issued a notification that the provisions of the Act would come into effect from April 27. The Act passed by the Parliament on March 24 gives more teeth to the office of the Lieutenant Governor (L-G) of Delhi.

Health and other responsibilities related to it in the national capital lies with the Kejriwal-led Government as per the government of National Capital Territory (GNCTD) Amendment Act, 2021, said the Ministry of Home Affairs in a statement.
The Government of National Capital Territory (GNCTD) Amendment Act, 2021 came into force after being passed by the Lok Sabha on March 22, 2021, by the Rajya Sabha on March 24, 2021, and after the assent of the President of India on March 28, 2021. The Amendment Act has the effect of amending Sections 21, 24, 33 and 44 of the Act.
