30% management group during MCO, CMCO, RMCO — KSN

PUTRAJAYA (Jan 11): All government services will operate with the presence of 30% of the management group, while the supporting group would be determined by the respectively heads of departments during the Movement Control Order (MCO), Conditional MCO and Recovery MCO from Jan 13 to Jan 26. The Chief Secretary to the Government Tan Sri Mohd Zuki Ali (pictured) said the rotation system on work from home would be continued according to needs by taking into consideration the welfare of civil servants as in the Circular of the Public Service Department Reference JPA.SARAAN (S) 256/6/31 JLD.6 (6) dated 2 May 2020. “The SOP (standard operating procedures) of MCO, CMCO and RMCO issued by the National Security Council (MKN) including all directives by the authorities should be fully complied with,” he said in a statement following the announcement by Prime Minister Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin today on the implementation of the three categories of MCO.

SPA received 1 145 million job applications from Jan to June

PUTRAJAYA: As at June this year, 1.145 million applications were received for jobs in public service including in the technical department, Chief Secretary to the Government Tan Sri Mohd Zuki Ali ( pix) said. He said based on Public Services Commission (SPA) statistics, of the total, 44,229 applications were for vacancies in the technical department such as in the Public Works Department and the Irrigation and Drainage Department. A total of 50,152 applications were for the position of scientist, researchers 65,719, while 124,015 applications were for community development officers, he said in his speech in conjunction with National Technical Profession Day (HPTN) 2020, held virtually today.

The Prime Minister’s Office in a statement said the council members include International Trade and Industry Senior Minister Datuk Seri Azmin Ali, Senior Education Minister Dr Radzi Jidin and Human Resources Minister Datuk Seri M. Saravanan, as well as Finance Minister Tengku Datuk Seri Zafrul Tengku Abdul Aziz, who is also the alternate chairman of the NEC. It said the council, which will meet regularly according to current needs, will also comprise representative of private sectors and industry players, whose names will be announced later.
