The House approved S.B. 126, a bill that would allow licensed businesses to deliver sealed containers of beer, wine, and spirits to patrons’ homes. Lawmakers in the House also approved H.B. 437, which would allow wine manufacturers to ship their wine directly to residents in the state.
The House made amendments to S.B 126 in approving it by a 79 to 12 vote. The amendment clarifies language in the bill to specify that brewpubs, winemakers, and distilleries would also be included in the legislation. That bill now goes back to the Senate to consider the changes the House made.

MARYLAND- “It honestly reminds me of the beginning of COVID, like everyone was going to grocery stores buying toilet paper and all the necessities and its going to be the same thing I feel like,” Bella Robinson, a Salisbury resident, said.
The fallout from US Colonial Pipeline shutdown prompted by a cyber security attack has caused people to rush for the pump.
The pipeline accounts for 45 percent of all fuel used on the East Coast, but locally officials say there’s no need to panic.
“We have interacted with the suppliers that supply the diesel fuel and gasoline to the county and we’ve talked with them and there’s no concern about the supply this time,” David Shipley, Emergency Services Director for Wicomico County, said.

Americans are deeply anxious after the Colonial Pipeline cyberattack halted the delivery of millions of gallons of fuel to several states and resulted in gasoline shortages at many stations across the country. People have already started to panic buy and hoard gasoline gallons despite skyrocketing prices at the pump. The situation is being compared to the gas shortages seen in 1970, with dozens of drivers lining up their cars outside stations and even traveling to other states to fill in their tanks. Although Colonial announced in a statement that it is set to repair its system by the weekend, with each passing day, consumers are getting more alarmed with the prospect of facing further sharp price increases, and they have been fearing they could run out of supply indefinitely.
