$30,000 reward for information on Marilee Burt homicide
ARAPAHOE COUNTY, Colo. (KRDO) A $30,000 reward is being offered for information leading to the arrest of the individual(s) involved in the murder of Marilee Burt. After 51 years, investigators, family and friends have not given up in the search to find who brutally murdered the then 15-year-old Marilee Burt.
Marilee was last seen alive walking home in her cheerleading uniform after a basketball game at Goddard Junior High School in Littleton, Colorado on February 26, 1970. Several independent witnesses reported seeing Marilee walking a route that included Berry Drive, Bowles Avenue and Middlefield Road, but she never made it home.

ARAPAHOE COUNTY, Colo. Metro Denver Crime Stoppers on Sunday announced an increase in the reward to $30,000 for information leading to an arrest in 1970 murder of 15-year-old Marilee Burt.
“The substantial increase to the reward hopefully allows us to collect more information to bring the suspect(s) in the Marilee Burt homicide to justice.” said Arapahoe County Sheriff Tyler Brown in a news release. “We continue the complex work required to follow up on leads in this case for Marilee and her family. The Arapahoe County Sheriff’s Office is grateful for the commitment from community members to assist in bringing justice for victims of crime and victim’s families.”

ARAPAHOE COUNTY, Colo. An Arapahoe County Sheriff s Office (ACSO) civilian employee was arrested for an alleged sexual assault, according to ACSO.

Caleb May, 19, was taken into custody early Thursday morning, according to a release from the sheriff s office.
A civilian employee for the Arapahoe County Sheriff s Office is in custody after allegedly sexually assaulting a juvenile female while on duty.
Caleb May, 19, is currently being held in the Arapahoe County Detention Facility on sexual assault charges and has a bond of $65,000, according to online court records.
May is employed by the sheriff s office as a community service specialist and is responsible for taking reports for low priority calls and to help with traffic enforcement. Community service specialists have no power of enforcement, said Ginger Delgado, a public information officer for the department.
Deputies said the victim reported the alleged assault on Wednesday. The alleged crime happened on Monday.
