Arvind Kejriwal-Led Govt Orders DTC To Withdraw Buses Given To Delhi Police; BJP Leader Kapil Mishra Criticises Move

In a latest development, the Arvind Kejriwal-led Delhi government has ordered the transport department for withdrawal of 576 DTC buses put at the disposal of Delhi Police on âspecial hireâ, reports
India TV.
It has also asked the DTC to seek approval before allowing any of its buses to be taken on âspecial hireâ by the Delhi Police or any other entity for that matter.
Notably, the Delhi Transport Corporation s (DTC) buses have been the main mode of travel for Delhi Police and other security forces to the three entry points at Singhu, Tikri and Ghazipur borders ever since farmers rallied there on 26 November last year.

On Friday, clashes broke out at Delhi’s Singhu border as a large mob crossed over police barricades and threw stones at farmers who have been protesting against the government’s new agriculture laws for just over two months. Several ground reports from the area show goons vandalising farmers’ tents and demanding that the area be vacated.
