New Delhi: The Arvind Kejriwal-led AAP government in Delhi on Monday (April 12) named 14 private hospitals including Sir Ganga Ram Hospital, St Stephens Hospital and Tis Hazari in the national capital as “COVID-19 care” hospitals.
The government further directed these hospitals not to admit any non-coronavirus patients till further orders from the authorities.
Additionally, as per the order issued by the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS), the AAP government has also asked 19 more private hospitals to reserve at least 80% of their ICU beds for COVID-related treatment.

Hitting out at the ruling Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) government, Congress on Monday asserted that people prefer going to private hospitals as compared to Delhi government hospitals as the latter lacks necessary facilities and have a shortage of doctors, nurses and paramedical staff.

New Delhi: Amid a sudden surge in the COVID-19 cases in Delhi, the Arvind Kejriwal-led AAP government imposed a seven-hour night curfew from 10 pm to 5 am on Tuesday (April 6) with immediate effect.
Following the orders, the DMRC also announced that entry in Metro during the night curfew, from 10 pm to 5 am, will be allowed only to those passengers who fall in the essential category. This announcement by the DMRC is going to affect many working class individuals who travel to and fro Delhi-NCR everyday.
