Arizona has some of the least restrictive gun laws in the nation, built on a pioneer, conservative ethos of Second Amendment rights. That has meant most Arizona adults can openly carry weapons into many public and private spaces.
Arizona also is the hub of a national gun-reform group, the Giffords Law Center to Prevent Gun Violence, named after U.S. Rep. Gabby Giffords, who was gravely injured in a mass shooting outside a Tucson grocery store in 2011.

TUCSON, Ariz. (KOLD News 13) - Since 2017, Arizona has seen close to 66,000 opioid overdoses, according to the Arizona Department of Health Services. With more people isolated because of the pandemic, those numbers are on the rise.
Now, departments in Santa Cruz County are working to curb overdoses and deaths through a brand new program.
A few doses of the lifesaving drug, Narcan, are neatly packed away in a baggie ready for anyone to pick up at the Nogales Fire Department for free. People can either pick up a couple of doses at local fire stations or the department will make a special delivery.

Generally, to get a vaccine appointment, users have to navigate either a government health department portal or sign up on select local retail pharmacies’ websites, made possible through the Federal Retail Pharmacy Program. CVS, Walgreens, and Walmart/Sam s Club are serving people across most of the United States.
The CDC has also set up VaccineFinder, which is operated by epidemiologists and software developers at Boston Children s Hospital.
While most people are advised to schedule their vaccine appointment through state-mandated measures, those who identify as tribal or veterans also have the option to reach out to the Indian Health Service and Veterans Affairs, respectively.
