Cantabrians have until 6 April to make submissions on
redevelopment plans that are critical to their Museum’s
ability to remain open.
Concept designs for the
Museum s proposed redevelopment show the blue whale skeleton
on display in a new full-height atrium.
The resource
consent for Canterbury Museum’s proposed redevelopment was
notified by the Christchurch City Council on Saturday 6
March.
The Museum’s redevelopment plans were
developed over a four-month consultation with key
stakeholders and the general public last
year.
Canterbury Museum Director Anthony Wright says
the plans received positive feedback during the consultation
process and he hopes that sentiment is reflected in the
